Freeze Protection Cable for Water Pipes and Roofs.
EasyHeat® SRTrace® offers a perfect solution to cold-weather-related problems. Keeping pipes from freezing or eliminating ice dams on rooftops, SRTrace is a self-regulating heating cable engineered to vary its heat output as the surrounding temperature changes. Plus, the SRTrace
system includes the appropriate cable and hardware needed for either situation.
Available in power densities of three, five and eight watts per foot. Cables are available for 120, 240, 208, or 277 VAC
applications. This self-regulating cable provides the right amount of heat when
and where it is needed. Because of the self-regulating feature of this cable, it
can be wrapped over itself (overlapped), if necessary, when installed on pipes,
valves or flanges.

Note: The
SR Trace cable is available for
sale by the foot and therefore a
custom order. Once the order is placed it cannot be cancelled or
returned once you receive the cable. This is because the cable is cut
to length here, or at EasyHeat, for your order, from your requested length.
Each connection kit contains detailed instructions for connecting the cable
to power supplies and/or other heating cables. Since self-regulating heating
cable varies its heat output in relation to the ambient temperature a
thermostat may not be necessary for some freeze protection applications.
This feature also allows you to overlap the cable with no more overheating
worries. As the surrounding temperature increases, the heat of the SR
cable decreases. When the temperature decreases, the cable heat increases
along the length of the cable.

both moisture and temperature conditions in the gutter or down spout.
